Another exciting photography smartphone competitor has entered the game; the realme GT 8 Pro, consisting of a shiny 200MP Ultra-Clarity Telephoto camera that's complemented by Japanese imaging Ricoh GR. Newly launched from RM4,299, the GT 8 Pro, together with the Aston Martin-aesthetic realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, brings in a unique combination of features that are also exclusive only to the realme brand thanks to a couple of unique collaborations.

The realme GT 8 Pro sits in unique position as its Ricoh Imaging prowess is the result of a 4-year preparation of a strategic partnership between Ricoh and realme to develop intricate yet interesting imaging aesthetic. Through the collaboration, both brands aims to meet the growing demands of users wanting to achieve a unique photography vision, particularly with focus on street photography.
The other unqiue collabporation is the realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition which embodies the Aston Martin Racing Green colourway as a dominant shade, adorned with Aerodynamic Flow Lines which is designed so as to allow for a steadier, more ergonomic grip. Iconically, on the back is the racing team's iconic silver emblem atop racing-grade metallic paint.
Inside, realme has dubbed the GT 8 Pro as a “flagship killer that ends boring phones,” by embedding groundbreaking innovations in performance, photography, and design. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 which is integrated with AI-enhanced chips. This chipset bring improved performance with a scoring of over 4 million score on AnTuTu, and is capable of running heavy-loaded mainstream games in their highest graphic setting, even running two games at the same time.
The realme GT 8 Pro Dream edition is also powered up with the same flagship features, supported by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 and Hyper Vision AI+ dual-processor.
On the realme GT 8 Pro is a full-range of RICOH GR camera system, offering everything exclusive to RICOH GR classic film through multiple yet flexible tones (Positive, Negative, Hi-contrast B&W). It leverages on its immersive framing mode with 4 focal lengths and Snap Focus mode. On the hardware side, the GT 8 Pro comes with GR optical-quality custom anti-glare lenses, and the 200MP Sony IMX main camera lens.
It does not stop there. Both realme GT 8 Pro and the Dream edition also has switchable camera modules to meet the user's aesthetic preferences. This means users can now change the camera islands according to their preference.
GT 8 Pro is fortified by IP68/IP69 dust tight and water resistance, utilises a 6.79-inch AMOLED screen with 144Hz support, and will come with the recently refreshed realme UI 7.0 system that sports an elegant Glass Design experience. Other notable features include a 7,000mAh battery, 120W ultra charge and 50W wireless charging.
The regular realme GT 8 Pro is proced at RM4,299 (16GB + 512GB), whereas the realme GT 8 Pro Dream edition is priced at RM4,699 (16GB + 512GB).
Pre-orders for both phones are available today until 28 November. Those who pre-order quickly will be entitled to free gifts worth RM1,197!
