vivo Malaysia is officially bringing its first mixed reality headset — the vivo Vision Discovery Edition — to the public, marking a major step into the next era of immersive computing.
As the first Chinese smartphone brand to build a full MR system from scratch, vivo is offering Malaysians a rare chance to test the device months before global retail availability through exclusive guided sessions at its flagship concept stores.
Running from now until 28 February 2026, these hands-on slots allow users to experience 8K-equivalent visuals, gesture-first control, and vivo’s dome-style giant screen cinema — designed to showcase what the brand calls its next-generation MR experience.
The vivo Vision Discovery Edition comes after four years of focused research and development, combining vivo’s strengths in imaging, sensors and display engineering to address key challenges in perception, interaction and on-device compute. The headset introduces a gesture-first interaction model supported by precise eye tracking with up to 1.5 degrees accuracy and 26-degree-of-freedom finger recognition.
vivo Vision Discovery Edition is supported by dual Micro-OLED panels deliver 8K-equivalent binocular resolution, calibrated to reduce visual strain during extended use. Powering its experience is the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 platform, which offers major performance gains to support high-fidelity real-time rendering.

Those interested to view the mixed-reality set can join the guided “vivo Vision” sessions that will happen flagship concept stores in Mid Valley Megamall Kuala Lumpur, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Queensbay Mall Penang. Sessions will start running from now until 28 February 2026 and are available by registration only, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Attendees will experience immersive dome video that recreates a portable 120-foot giant-screen cinema, multi-angle sports and esports viewing, and natural move-and-pinch gesture control powered by vivo OriginOS Vision. Slots are limited, and early registration is encouraged.
