Priced RM1,199 for the 8GB+256GB variant, the realme 15T continues on the brand's legacy to offer everyday devices that deliver quality battery and gaming experiences. Notably, the 15T has a killer battery life, a gorgeous display and reliable performance.
So, what's the difference between this 15T and the rest of the series? When compared to the standard realme 15, the 15T offers superior durability, a slimmer design and also a more "upscale" aesthetic. In essence, the look and feel of the 15T is reminiscent to Apple iPhone Air's design.
Here's how our time went with the realme 15T.

Design & Screen
At just 7.79mm thin and 181g, the realme 15T is surprisingly slim for a phone packing a 7000mAh battery. That's lighter than many flagship phones, and you honestly wouldn't guess it's got a power bank's worth of battery inside.
What gives realme brownie points is that the 15T looks premium and unique troo. The Flowing Silver variant we tested features this celluloid texture that catches light beautifully—it's one of those finishes that looks premium in person but doesn't show up well in photos. The aluminum alloy camera housing adds a nice touch of durability, and the whole thing feels solid without being bulky.
With triple protection with IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings means you can take this phone anywhere without worrying about Malaysia's hot and wet weather. This level of protection at this price point is genuinely impressive and something we wish more budget phones would offer.
Those who would constantly be outdoors would like the realme 15T for its stunning display. On paper, its 6.57-inch AMOLED display hits 4000 nits peak brightness with 120Hz refresh rate, which translates to buttery smooth scrolling and zero squinting under the afternoon sun at KLCC Park. The 2160Hz PWM dimming is also a thoughtful addition—your eyes won't feel like they've been run over after marathon Netflix sessions.

Performance
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Max chipset built on 6nm process, the realme 15T will handle usual daily tasks well. Apps launch quickly, multitasking between WhatsApp, Instagram, and Shopee is seamless, and you won't notice any lag during regular use. Not to mention, there was no hint of temperature rises at all, even when gaming. This is in due to the AirFlow VC in the realme 15T.
Now, let's be clear—this isn't a gaming flagship. But for casual mobile gaming? It handles up to 13 hours of gaming, which means your MLBB and CODM sessions will run smoothly at medium to high settings. The phone doesn't heat up excessively either, which is a welcome surprise for extended gaming sessions on the LRT. It's safe to say that the Dimensity 6400 Max keeps its promise to run apps and games for a long time.
Here's the kicker. Dimensity 6400 Max is not a top-tier chipset that run heavy, fast games smoothly. For us, we experienced a little bit of lag when playing Honor of Kings. Exploration and adventure-esque games will do fine, but when you start going into mob fights with friends online, the stutter becomes more apparent. More astonishing was the fact that the lag was still apparent even when we turned on Gaming Mode. Was this a user error? We aren't sure, unfortunately.
On the upside, realme 15T has made expansion of its 8GB base RAM possible with virtual RAM, and will be more than enough for non-heavy gamers to rely on. Unless you're the type who keeps 50 Chrome tabs open while editing videos, you'll be fine.

Camera
Here's where things get a bit predictable. You're getting dual 50MP sensors—one for the main camera and one for selfies. The main shooter performs well in good lighting with accurate colours and decent detail. Your Instagram feed will thank you.
Having tried it in the realme 15 Pro (review), AI Edit Genie feature supports over 20 languages, including Bahasa Malaysia, which means you can literally tell your phone "terangkan background" and it'll brighten things up for you. It's genuinely useful for quick edits without opening a separate app.

Time for the actual review. In our experience, low-light performance is... acceptable. You'll get usable photos for WhatsApp and social media, but don't expect miracles. There's visible noise in dimly lit mamak sessions, though colours remain reasonably accurate. With a main and rear 50MP shooter, the phone takes decently sharp photos enhanced by AI. We imagine the phone would fare better outdoors and with plenty of natural sunlight though.
The elephant in the room? No ultrawide camera. It's also just a 2MP depth sensor for portrait mode. If you're big on landscape shots or group photos in tight spaces, you'll feel this limitation. It's the trade-off realme made to keep the price down, and whether that bothers you depends on how often you actually use ultrawide.
Battery & Charging
Let's talk about what makes this phone special. Its 7000mAh Titan Battery is the real deal here. It delivers up to 128.4 hours of Spotify playback or 13 hours of gaming. In our real-world testing, the phone easily lasted a full day of heavy use—and by heavy, we mean endless scrolling, video calls, navigation, and still having 30% left at bedtime. To be precised, we got to play Honor of Kings for an hour using only 7% battery. That's great in our books!
For moderate and lightusers? You're looking at nearly two days between charges. That's the kind of battery life that fundamentally changes how you feel about your phone's reliability.
The 60W SUPERVOOC charging gets you to 50% in just 31 minutes, and charging it for just 5 minutes gives you about 1-hour worth of gameplay. This means you can easily top up during breakfast and be good to go for the rest of the day. And yes, it supports reverse charging, so you can be that hero who saves your friend's dying iPhone at the mamak.
Note that day-to-day battery use will still vary depending on user, so your experience may differ from ours.

AI, UI & OS
realme 15T runs on realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15, which is clean and functional without too much bloatware. The interface is intuitive enough, and realme's customization options let you tweak things to your liking.
While realme doesn't match Samsung's 7-year update commitment, you'll still get a reasonable software support period that should keep your phone secure and functional for years.

Get the realme 15T because
You want a long-battery life smartphone. This is a no-brainer as the winning trait of the realme 15T is its long-lasting phone. For this price, you can easily use the phone as a good second phone, or even a primary phone if you don't need a premium camera.
At the same time, if you're a moderate user who don't play heavy games, the realme 15T will suit you just fine. As mentioned, the phone carries out most of its apps well, and onyl shows sign of stutter when multiple apps and a heavy game is in use. This is not a common use pattern among the average users, thus realme 15T is sure to suit a lot of modest users who needs a phone that can handle a few days with you.
Don't get it because
You want to do photography. Honestly, this can be a big hurdle as photography is still a big aspect for many users. While camera does a decent job, it's not the most satisfying one for its price bracket. Its AI is also lackluster when it comes to compensating for the lack of proper camera lens quality. We dare say that even some budget phones (like the Redmi 15 4G) has better camera results.

Who's this for?
Overall, the realme 15T has one major flaw which is its lacklustre camera results. But if that does not bother you, and that you are a regular user who needs a daily driver to carry you with your favourite apps and some producitivty apps, realme 15T is a good consideration at RM1,199.
