Apple has officially introduced the new iPad Pro powered by the M5 chip, marking the biggest performance leap in the tablet’s history. Combining Apple’s most advanced AI processing architecture with next-gen wireless connectivity and iPadOS 26, the M5 iPad Pro is built for creative professionals, AI users, and mobile power users who demand both performance and portability.
Available in 11-inch and 13-inch models, the M5 iPad Pro brings 3.5x faster AI performance than M4, 5.6x faster than M1, and introduces support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread connectivity for smart homes.

The new M5 chip unlocks a more advanced iPad experience, bringing incredible amount of power and AI performance into the ultraportable design of iPad Pro.
Working hand-in-hand with a next-generation GPU with a Neural Accelerator in each core, M5 delivers a big boost in performance for iPad Pro users, whether they’re working on cutting-edge projects or tapping into AI for productivity. The new iPad Pro is capable of delivering up to 3.5x the AI performance than the previous M4 generation and up to 5.6x faster than M1 generation.

Great to know is that the M5 chip has up to a 10-core CPU, with four performance cores and six efficiency cores, and is the world’s fastest CPU core.
Faster Cellular Performance
Utilising N1, a new Apple wireless networking chip, it enables the latest generation of wireless technologies with support for Wi-Fi 7 on iPad Pro. With the iPad Pro M5 also comes with the C1X modem into cellular models of iPad Pro, so you can receive up to 50 percent faster cellular data performance than the previous generation, with even greater efficiency, allowing users to do more on the go.
Smoother External Displays
Available in space black and silver, iPad Pro M5 will come in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes. It'll come equipped with Ultra Retina XDR display for the clearest viewing experience.
This new iPad Pro will also have the ability to drive external displays at up to 120Hz — ideal for creative workflows like video editing as well as gaming. And for users with a 120Hz external display, iPad Pro will also bring new support for Adaptive Sync, which provides the lowest possible latency in external display performance, resulting in smoother motion and fewer perceived glitches; useful for low-latency use cases like gaming.
