Samsung Electronics has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 in Malaysia, expanding the company's A series lineup.
The A series is Samsung's line of mid-range tablets with reliable performance and great features without a flagship price tag, targeting students needing a study companion and families looking for a balanced device.
The Tab A11, in particular, shows Samsung is pushing higher-end features down to this price tier, such as the 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling, Dolby Atmos sound, and the surprising inclusion of Gemini AI.
Design & Display
The Galaxy Tab A11 is a compact 8.7-inch tablet with a slim and lightweight body, so it's easy to slip into your bag and carry wherever you go. The tablet retains Samsung's signature clean and simple design and is available in either Gray or Silver colours.
The 90Hz refresh rate makes scrolling through web pages or social feeds smoother. The A11 offers a resolution of 1340 × 800, where text looks crisper, menus sharper, and streaming content is cleaner. If you plan to use your tablet for reading or long work sessions, this improved display quality will be immediately noticeable.
Performance & Sound
Powered by a high-performance processor, the Galaxy Tab A11 has a MediaTek Helio G99, which is ideal for multitasking from streaming to uing different softwares for academics.
With support for up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of storage (which you can expand by a massive 2TB using a memory card), you won't have to debate between which apps to delete.
It comes with a single 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front lens for clearer video calls and pictures, while the Portrait Dual Speakers paired with Dolby Atmos creates an immersive 3D soundscape. The Galaxy Tab A11 also comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack, so you can conveniently enjoy your content with wired headphones.
Battery & AI Features
The Galaxy Tab A11 remains the same as its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab A9, with a 5,100mAh battery.
However, Samsung has announced a built-in AI capability for the new tablet, which is typically reserved for Samsung’s more expensive, top-tier devices. With Gemini Live, users can enjoy smarter interactions and faster access to information directly from their tablet.
The tablet runs on One UI 7 and has tools like Math Solver in Samsung Notes to help students with their schoolwork. Moreover, it is protected by Samsung Knox with seven years of OS and security updates.
