After a long wait, vivo is finally launching its most advanced operating system, OriginOS 6, in Malaysia. OriginOS 6 is built on the latest Android 16 platform, promising to completely change how you use your phone.
The OS is expected to roll out globally on 15 October, with the new vivo X300 series being the first handsets to run it straight out of the box.

The new OS features a completely refreshed design. Videos previewing the system show that transitions, app launches, and switching between apps all appear remarkably smooth and fast.

AI-Powered Notifications
The new update features a design change to the notification feature, which looks very similar to Apple's Dynamic Island. This feature creates a fluid, shape-shifting area around the front camera cut-out to display alerts and ongoing activities (like music controls or an active timer).
However, vivo is taking this concept a step further: the OriginOS 6 island will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to offer intuitive actions based on the app you're currently using. For example, if you’re booking a taxi, the AI might suggest the next logical step right in the island notification, making multi-tasking easier.
There's also a more seamless cross-device connectivity between different devices and stronger privacy protection.
