Huawei has officially launched the Watch GT 6 Series in Malaysia, following its global debut in Paris. With a strong focus on endurance, sports performance, and localized smart features, the GT 6 Series is designed to be both a fitness companion and a lifestyle watch.
Available in 41mm and 46mm, the series retains the same price point as its predecessor. The series will start from RM999 for the Watch GT 6 and the GT 6 Pro from RM1,299, all the while offering more advanced health tracking, smarter features, and unmatched battery life.
Long Battery Life & Precise Positioning
HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series comes with an advanced high-silicon stacked special-shaped battery, delivering a staggering 65% higher capacity than the previous model. With this upgrade, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Pro and GT 6 46 mm editions offer up to 21 days of battery life in light usage, and the stylish GT 6 41 mm edition lasts up to 14 days in typical usage.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series also features an AMOLED screen display with 3000 nits peak brightness for high visibility even under Malaysia’s harsh sunlight. It comes with an upgraded Sunflower positioning system, boosting positioning accuracy by 20% compared with its predecessor.
The watch also includes an integrated running coach through its Running Form Analysis feature, offering professional guidance to runners of all levels to boost performance and minimize injury risks. Detailed data on ground contact time, vertical oscillation, and balance are provided using an IMU sensor, empowering users to analyse their form, prevent injuries and run more efficiently.
Enhanced Sport Mode
HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series offers over 100 sports modes, and is the first smartwatch to offer cycling virtual power, providing cyclists with the most precise and scientifically grounded way to measure their riding intensity. This innovative capability stems from extensive research, including thousands of cycling simulations and advanced wind resistance modeling carried out in a state-of-the-art wind tunnel lab in China.
Thanks to this rigorous testing, the watch delivers highly accurate calculations of cycling virtual power, making it an essential tool for serious cycling enthusiasts. You can now check your cycling power directly on your wrist in real-time, with precision nearly matching that of a dedicated power meter.
Safety is reinforced with enhanced fall detection: when a high-impact incident is detected, the watch triggers a countdown and can automatically send SOS alerts to emergency contacts or local services. Meanwhile, the team-up feature enables group connections for cyclists sharing real-time locations, data, and alerts to boost safety and coordination in team outings. Altitude Monitoring 2.0 is effective at 2500m high and automatically tracks SpO2, heart rate, pressure, and altitude shifts in elevated areas, delivering alerts for risks.
In this series brings professional-grade support for trail running, golf and freediving up to 40 metres. Golfers can benefit from over 17,000 zoomable global golf course maps available with upgraded golf vector maps where icons are more pronounced for an enhanced golf experience.
Under trail running mode, Huawei introduces altitude trend for course insight, with new distance estimation & correction pace. Last but not least, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Pro comes with EN13319 professional diving-level water resistance that supports PADI/SSI/AIDA certifications up to the highest levels.
Enhanced Health Management
Health management is equally advanced. Powered by Huawei’s TruSense system, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series offers an upgraded 12-state multi-dimensional emotional wellbeing detection, continuous sleep tracking with HRV analysis, and pro-grade cardiovascular monitoring. The Pro model comes with an additional ECG function, which allows for ECG readings anytime and anywhere.
QR Payments Are Also Available
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series also brings smart lifestyle conveniences tailored for Malaysians. Users can now enjoy the ease of Touch ’n Go eWallet QR payments directly from their wrist, allowing seamless transactions without needing to reach for their phone or wallet.
In addition, the Waktu Solat Malaysia app is supported on the WATCH GT 6 Series, providing accurate prayer time notifications, verses for each prayer, and Qiblat direction guidance, ensuring users stay connected to their spiritual practices throughout the day.
Frequent travellers would also greatly benefit from the MyBorderPass app, which is now supported on the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series, offering a more seamless experience when undergoing immigration clearance.
