LG is transforming the driving experience by bringing the worlds of gaming and work directly into your car. The company has announced a partnership with Xbox to integrate the Xbox app into its webOS-based Automotive Content Platform (ACP).
This means passengers with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and a compatible Bluetooth controller will soon be able to play hundreds of games, including popular titles like Doom: The Dark Ages and Forza Horizon 5, directly from the vehicle's infotainment system. Cloud gaming is the reason behind this, streaming games to the car's screen without needing a powerful computer on board.
LG also announced a partnership with Zoom to bring a native app to its in-car system. Both drivers and passengers can conduct meetings and manage their work while on the move. LG emphasised that the user experience has been desgined to reduce distractions, making it possible to be productive while still prioritising driving safety regulations.

The foundation of this new system is LG's own webOS, the same software that powers its smart TVs around the world. LG's Automotive Content Platform brings the living room experience into the vehicle, so you can enjoy content and services on multiple in-vehicle displays.
Passengers can already stream their favourite content from popular services such as Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and LG Channels, along with local Korean streaming services TVING and WAVVE. LG plans to add even more content by the end of the year, with streaming services like RakutenTV and Joyn, plus the digital art platform Vasari, and the Japanese local streaming service U-NEXT coming soon.
