Rakuten Kobo has announced the official Malaysian launch of its new Kobo Clara Colour e-reader in a pristine White finish.
This device comes with a Full-Colour E Ink Kaleido 3 Display.You'll get the best of both worlds: the paper-like, black-and-white text you love, along with vibrant, natural colours for all your comics, mangas, and graphic novels.
If you're someone who likes to annotate what you're reading, you can use multiple highlight colours to note down and organise your thoughts directly on the page. You can also adjust the screen's brightness and colour temperature optimise the screen for reading during the night or day.
The Kobo Clara Colour supports audiobooks via Bluetooth. Plus, it comes with a built-in Kobo eBookstore offering over eight million titles and OverDrive support, which allows you to borrow books directly from your local public library.
Additionally, you can easily read web articles with the Instapaper service and explore a huge selection of titles with the all-you-can-read Kobo Plus subscription.
Price & Availability in Malaysia
The Kobo Clara Colour in White will be available in Malaysia from 23 September 2025 for RM799.
Kobo is also launching a range of accessories to protect your new e-reader. The eco-friendly Kobo Clara Colour SleepCover (RM155) is made from 97% recycled plastic, including 10% ocean-bound plastic. It comes in a variety of pretty colours like Candy Pink, Cayenne Red, and Dusk Blue.
If you’re looking for a more basic option, the Basic SleepCover and Clear Case are also available for a lower price of RM95. You can find both the Kobo Clara Colour in White and the protective covers at local retailers including IT Hypermarket, Mono Digital, SNS Network, Caveman OS, and Quantum Gadgets.
