Today, Apple announced the AirPods Pro 3 during its "Awe Dropping" Apple Event. The new AirPods Pro 3 feature better Active Noise Cancellation, heart rate sensors, better in-ear fit, Live Translation, and all-round better audio.

Health Support is Coming!
Apple confirmed a long-time rumour about the addition of heart rate sensors on the AirPods Pro 3. The earbuds come with a custom photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor that shines invisible light to accurately track your heart rate. This data, combined with a new on-device AI model, allows wearers to track their heart rate and calories burned all while you listen to your music.
You'll also get the Workout Buddy experience, which provides personalised and motivational insights during your exercise session, making it feel like you have a personal coach in your ear. It also supports up to 50 different workout types on the Apple Fitness app and can be used with other workout apps too.
Live Translation Is Coming Too
The feature, powered by Apple Intelligence, is now in beta. It helps people communicate across different languages, whether they are traveling or simply chatting. Imagine understanding and replying to a stranger in a foreign language!
When enabled, the AirPods automatically lower the volume of background noise so so you can hear the person speaking, and their words are translated in-ear. You can even your iPhone as a live display, showing a transcription of what you are saying in the other person’s preferred language.
Best-Fitting AirPods with Better ANC
Apple has completely re-engineered the AirPods to be smaller and more ergonomic. A new foam-infused ear tip now comes in a total of five sizes, including a new XXS, to fit every ear shape.
With an IP57 rating, they are the first AirPods to be officially certified for dust and water resistance, making it ideal for those intense sweat session at the gym or if you can get caught in the rain.
The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) now blocks out twice as much noise as the previous generation and four times more than the original AirPods. So, you can immerse yourself in your music playlists or podcasts while on sardin-packed train or in a loud office.
And with the upgraded ANC, it's easier for wearers to take a Hearing Test and receive personalised assistance with the AirPods Pro 3. The new hardware is designed to help you hear conversations more clearly, especially in noisy places, with Conversation Boost.
On a single charge, the battery now lasts up to 8 hours with ANC enabled, a 33 percent increase over the previous generation. With the new Transparency Mode and hearing aid features, the battery life extends even further to 10 hours, a 67 percent increase over the previous model.
Price & Availability in Malaysia
The AirPods Pro 3 are available from 19 September onwards, starting at $249. Official pricing in Malaysia has not been unveiled yet.
