For any business that relies on a fleet of vehicles, from delivery vans to lorries and buses, a dead battery is a breakdown that costs time and money.
Advanced Accumulators, a new joint venture in Malaysia, has launched Southeast Asia’s very first Battery Subscription Programme featuring smart, connected batteries so a flat battery wouldn't be a problem anymore.
Smart Batteries Are...Smart (Obviously)
Every battery has a special chip that lets it talk to a mobile app and a central dashboard. So, if a driver finds their vehicle won't start, they don't have to wait for roadside assistance.
They can simply push a button on the battery itself or use the mobile app to jump-start it over the air. Your vehicle is constantly on the go, so there aren't costly delays and unplanned repairs.
For a business owner, this programme offers you a real-time dashboard of your entire fleet. You can track the health and location of every vehicle and its battery, allowing you to spot a potential problem before it turns into a breakdown.
The subscription model also turns an unexpected, high-cost expense (a dead battery) into a predictable, budgeted one. By being able to monitor battery health, the system encourages drivers to rely on the battery instead of idling the engine. This can save two to three litres of fuel per vehicle, per hour, while also cutting down on harmful CO2 emissions.
Speaking of Carbon Emissions...
Traditional batteries often get thrown away too early and are not always recycled properly, which can be bad for the environment.
Moving to a subscription model, helps ensure that all Advanced Accumulators batteries are fully utilised and properly recycled at the end of its life. For more info, check out Advanced Accumulator's website here.
