Google just held its annual "Made By Google", giving the world a first glimpse at their latest Pixel 10 series, a new foldable, upgrades to the Pixel Watch 4, a budget-friendly A-series earbuds, and generative AI capabilities with Gemini.

Malaysians will soon see these gadgets in local retailers such as Shopee and CelcomDigi, to name a few.

Google Pixel 10 Series

The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL are powered by Google's Tensor G5 processor, which introduces a whole host of Gemini capabilities.

In terms of camera, the new 5x telephoto lens is its best zoom quality, and the 100x Pro Res Zoom allows for high-quality close-ups. Appearance-wise, the smartphones don't look that different from the Pixel 9 series. The displays are the same, with the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro featuring a 6.3-inch display, and the Pixel 10 Pro XL with a larger 6.8-inch display.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold has a new gearless hinge that Google says is twice as durable as the Pixel 9 Pro Fold's. It has a larger 6.4-inch cover display with an 8-inch main screen, accompanied by thinner bezels.

Like the Pixel 10 phones, the Pro Fold runs on the new G5 chip, so you'll be getting upgraded Gemini AI features. There's also an added 48MP camera and improvement in battery life for the foldable.

Plus, Google has introduced Instant View to the Pro Fold, which enables you to preview photos instantly when the device is unfolded so that you can quickly re-take pictures before the moment passes.

All phones in the Pixel 10 series come with magnetic Qi2 wireless charging, which works with "Pixelsnap", Google's version of "MagSafe".

Pixel Watch 4

Coming in two sizes, the Pixel Watch4 (41mm) and Pixel Watch 4 (45mm) come with first-of-its-kind domed Actua 360 display, the new Material 3 Expressive UI for a more personalised, dynamic feel and a longer battery life.

Google updated the smartwatch's health and fitness capabilities, including smarter sleep tracking, new exercise modes like pickleball and basketball, and a new Skin Temperature sensor to monitor for changes in your skin temperature.

The Pixel Watch 4 will be equipped with Gemini, with features that allow you to access the AI by raising your wrist and automated responses for messages.

Pixel Buds 2a

Pixel Buds 2a in Iris colour.
Pixel Buds 2a borrows its design from the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and is the first in their A-series to offer Active Noise Cancellation and a replaceable battery case in its battery. The buds also have Gemini built-in, so you can get things done, summarise messages, and even ask for coffee recommendations during your walk — all without taking out your phone.
