Google rarely promotes their brands in the Asia-Pacific region. In fact, none of the Google Pixel phones were ever available in the region until last August, despite the fact that the first Google Pixel model was released about 8 years ago.

NST reported that Malaysia was the first country in the Asia-Pacific region to receive the Google Pixel 9 series, which included the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. Now, the new Pixel 10 series is making its way to our side of world, with CelcomDigi confirming its official launch in Malaysia on 27 August.

4 Phones Including A Foldable

Three non-folding phones in the Pixel 10 line are Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. Looks-wise, they are expected to look like the Pixel 9, with a pill-shaped camera bar on the back of the phones.

The entry-level Pixel 10 is reported to have an extra third rear camera. It's rumoured to be a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera, with a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 13-megapixel ultrawide, so you'll be able to do some incredible things with your photos, from bringing faraway subjects closer to fitting more details in a vast landscape. According to CNET, this will give the Pixel 10 an edge over the base Samsung Galaxy S25, which also has a telephoto camera.

Meanwhile, the 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL will continue to be differentiated from the standard Pixel 10 with a more decked-out camera system, which includes a 50-megapixel wide-angle, 48-megapixel ultrawide and a 48-megapixel telephoto.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, on the other hand, will supposedly be slightly thicker than the Pixel 9 Pro with a new hinge. It's said to be a little wider when unfolded but narrower when it's folded.

Inside these new phones will be a new Tensor G5 chip, which is the first chipset designed completely by Google themselves. A report from WCCFTech suggested that the Tensor G5 is a significant upgrade on the previous Tensor G4, but it runs slower than the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor that's used in Samsung's Galaxy S25 line and the OnePlus 13.

That's not to imply the Pixel 10 models themselves will perform slowly, as the same report says it will run faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor that powers the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 phones.

All four phones is likely to have a Qi2 magnetic wireless charging. The Verge reported that there were claims of Google introducing a line of magnetic accessories to go with the phone, an alternative to MagSafe called the "Pixelsnap".

The Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2A

The new Pixel Watch won't look much different than the Pixel Watch 3, however the upgrades lie in the hardware.

According to LifeHacker, Pixel Watch 4 is reportedly running on the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chip with a M55 co-processor. It may have a brighter AMOLED display and a slight bump on the battery. Additionally, the Pixel Watch 4 will supposedly be able to "continuously" track your blood oxygen throughout the day.

Meanwhile Pixel Buds 2A will likely have significant sound upgrades to include both active noise cancellation and spatial audio, though without either the Silent Seal 2.0 tech or head tracking found in the Pro 2 versions of those features.

All these devices are slated to be unveiled during the Made by Google event. It'll be available to stream on YouTube to Malaysians on 21 August at 1am, with prices expected to be announced soon.
