Does anybody else feel like it's very difficult to meet up with your friends?

Coordinating a simple catch-up can sometimes takes days, weeks, even months. But sometimes, a virtual call is enough.

And WhatsApp is introducing scheduled group calls.

Simply go to your Calls tab, tap the "+" symbol, and select "Schedule Call." You can then invite whoever to join and link creators will receive notifications when someone joins the call.

You can even use those call links to add the meeting to your calendar app. Each member will be alerted when it's time to start.

Less Interruptions

On a large group call, it'll be difficult to have a productive talk if everyone's talking over each other. WhatsApp now has a feature similar to Zoom, where you can raise your hand to indicate that you want to speak.

You can also send a reaction to the call, which lets you show that you agree or find something funny without having to say anything at all. This is standard work-call fare, but new to the platform that started as a simple instant messaging app in 2009.
