Good news for Galaxy users! Samsung has announced that it is expanding its One UI 8 beta programme to more devices.
Owners of older Galaxy phones and foldables to get a sneak peek at the advanced new features and smarter Galaxy AI experiences that were first introduced on the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year.
One UI 8's biggest highlight is the advanced multimodal AI capabilities, so the AI can understand you in more natural ways. For example, you can now activate Gemini by showing your surroundings or an object through the camera, instead of typing or speaking.
Who Can Get the Beta and When?
The beta programme is being rolled out in phases, allowing Samsung to gather feedback from users before the final release.
The beta programme will open up to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 in several regions, including Korea, the U.S., the U.K., and India.

Meanwhile in September, the availability will extend to even more devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and a selection of popular A-series phones such as the A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54.
If you have one of these eligible devices, you can register for the beta programme through the Samsung Members app.
The Official Rollout and Watch Updates
For those who prefer to wait for the final, stable version, the official version of One UI 8 is set to roll out in September, starting with the flagship Galaxy S25 series and then being released sequentially to other eligible devices.
Additionally, Samsung also announced the rollout of the new One UI 8 Watch update, giving Glaxy Watch wearers access to advanced health features, including Running Coach, Vascular Load, and Antioxidant Index.
