Google has introduced new upgrades to AI Mode that extends beyond just generating summaries.
AI Mode in Google Search can now help you break down complex documents and organise your study materials.
Extra Help With Documents

AI Mode has become a personal tutor, analysing uploaded PDFs and images so you can quickly grasp concepts from your files without endless manual searching.
If you're struggling to understand a complicated diagram, you can ask any questions about it. AI Mode can try to give you clear answers for your understanding.
AI Mode is also capable of deciphering lecture slides from a PDF file. The AI has read through its content and cross-reference it with relevant information found across the web. Then, it will provide AI-generated responses to your follow-up questions. It will even provide additional links for further reading, making it easier to broaden your understanding of the course material.
A New Canvas For A Study Planner

Google is also launching a brand-new feature within AI Mode called Canvas. It appears as a side panel, like a digital whiteboard for planning and organising information over multiple sessions.
It updates as you add more information. For instance, if you're gearing up for an upcoming test and need a study plan, you can simply click the new "Create Canvas" button to get started. AI Mode will then begin to put together a study plan directly within the Canvas side panel. You can keep refining this output with follow-up questions and prompts until it generates a study plan that perfectly fits your needs.
What's more, a new upload feature will let you customise your study guide (or any other creation) by providing context from your own files, such as class notes or a course syllabus.
And you won't have to worry about restarting the next day. You can keep returning to your Canvas, even if you close the tab.
