Photo editing and sharing app VSCO has announced a free standalone camera app for iPhone users.
VSCO Capture focuses on taking pictures with a set aesthetic. The app offers 50 live camera filters and real-time effects, from classic film to modern looks crafted alongside professional VSCO photographers.

It offers manual control over camera functions like shutter speed and exposure, and pictures are taken in RAW and ProRAW formats. After taking pictures, the app lets users sync all photos with VSCO's cloud through the VSCO app.
After making the edits, you can post your pictures directly to your VSCO profile or export to your preferred social media platforms.
Capture is compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision.

The photo editing and sharing app also announced it is acquiring The Freelance Photographer, a platform offering mentorship and training for those studying photography and videography.

"The Freelance Photographer serves as a long-term career partner to creatives, offering a comprehensive education, a supportive community, as well as the tools and insight they need to turn their craft into a career,” VSCO Head Eric Wittman said.
