Nothing has made a name for itself with its distinctive transparent designs for its smartphones.
Now, the London-based tech company has brought the same minimalist motif to their first over-ear audio product, Headphone (1), which was made in partnership with KEF, an audio pioneer.
As if it needed more factors to distinguish itself for other headphones in the market, Headphone (1) immediately stands out with cyberpunk-esque aesthetics and tactile controls. The Roller, Paddle, and Button allows you to adjust the volume, navigate media, and switch between Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) modes.
The headphone's custom-built 40mm dynamic driver delivers rich, natural audio with deep bass, detailed mids, and crisp treble across all modes, including ANC, Transparency, and Spatial Audio modes.
Aiming to create an immersive sound experience, Headphone (1) comes with on-device spatialisation and built-in head tracking. It adapts in real-time to your movement, so it feels like you're right in the middle of the soundstage, with audio coming from all around you.
Headphones (1) supports a traditional 3.5mm jack to give the listener the choice to enjoy their music or podcasts either wired or wireless.
For calls, a best-in-class 4-mic ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) system guarantees crystal-clear voice capture even in the busiest environments.
Headphone (1) delivers an impressive up to 35 hours of listening time with ANC on, and a quick 5-minute charge provides 2.4 hours of playback, so your music never stops. With Bluetooth 5.3, dual device connection, Fast Pair support, and low-latency performance, it's convenient to switch between multiple devices.
The headphones work in sync with the Nothing X app that lets listeners personalise the controls. For deeper control, an 8-band Advanced EQ in the Nothing X app allows users to fine-tune their sound profile well beyond just bass and treble.
