Touch n' Go (TNG) Digital has partnered with HR solutions provider Kakitangan.com to allow employers to deposit salaries directly into employees' TNG eWallet accounts.

With more than 2 million foreign workers using TNG eWallet, this integration aims to help migrant workers and those without bank accounts to have immediate access to their income. Moreover, they can manage their money digitally, including making payments, transferring funds, remitting money overseas, and withdrawing cash using the linked Touch ‘n Go eWallet Visa Card.

Kakitangan.com serves over 10,000 businesses in Malaysia such as MyBurgerLab, Anytime Fitness, and more. This integration offers an alternative way for employers using Kakitangan.com to disburse salaries in bulk through the DuitNow Bulk Transfer system.

Every TNG eWallet user has an assigned a DuitNow account number, which enables them to receive payments from any bank or eWallet provider in Malaysia.

This integration has been recognised by the Jabatan Tenaga Kerja Semenanjung Malaysia (JTKSM) as a compliant salary account.

While this new solution is convenient, there is a danger to pooling all your salary into a single account. If a worker loses their phone whether if it was stolen or broken, how woud they be able to access their funds?
