Design
Samsung's latest clamshell foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip7, arrives as the slimmest Galaxy Z Flip yet, with a slight upgrade to its look.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 features a stunning 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display when unfolded. However, the real standout is the new 4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow — the largest ever on a Galaxy Z Flip. With a barely noticeable 1.25mm bezels, you see more from the cover screen. If you want to reply a quick message or check your schedules, you can do so without even opening the phone.
When folded, it measures a mere 13.7mm thick, shrinking to a 6.5mm when unfolded, all while maintaining a lightweight 188g.
The phone now features Armor FlexHinge, which, despite being thinner than its predecessor, makes folding it feel smoother and sturdier.
Both the main display and the FlexWindow reach a peak brightness of 2,600 nits and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for ultra-fluid scrolling, streaming, and gaming. The FlexWindow also has Vision Booster, so you can continue to see your phone screen even under bright sunlight.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 will be available in four stylish colours: Mint, Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Coral Red. The cool-toned Mint option will be exclusively available online. The Coral Red, in particular, is a personal standout because just look at how striking it is!
Performance & Battery
This year, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 may be slimmer than its predecessor, but that doesn't mean the battery size has been reduced.
Now, it boasts "the largest battery ever in the Galaxy Z Flip series," with a substantial 4,300mAh capacity, a notable upgrade from the Flip 's 4,000mAh. Paired with a generous 12GB of RAM, this means the Z Flip7 can deliver an impressive up to 31 hours of video playtime on a single charge.
The Z Flip7 is powered by a new 3nm processor, custom-made for Galaxy devices. This chip brings significantly more powerful CPU, GPU, and NPU capabilities than its predecessor for smooth performance for all your tasks. Plus, with Samsung DeX, you can transform your Flip7 into a portable workstation. Simply connect it to a larger screen and multitask as if you were on a PC.
Camera
The Galaxy Z Flip7 features a dual rear camera system, made up of a 50MP Wide and a 12MP Ultra-Wide lens. This setup lets you snap selfies or scenic views without needing to flip open the phone.
Thanks to Samsung's ProVisual Engine and 10-bit HDR, the pictures you capture will be ore vivid and richer in colour, regardless of the time of day, and you won't need to adjust your camera settings.
Samsung also shared that this generation will have new updates coming to the FlexWindow, which include real-time filters and the ability to zoom in or out with a swipe of your finger on the cover screen.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 launches at the same price as the Flip6 did last year, costing between RM4,999 and RM5,599.
