Samsung's foldable Galaxy Z series phones, the Z Flip7, was unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024, held in New York, USA on 9 July 2025 (9 July, 10PM MYT).
Prices start from RM4,999 (USD1,099) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, with available pre-order promos for Malaysians effective from 9 July 2025.

TLDR: A Bigger & More Practical Screen
The highlight of the Galaxy Z Flip7 (vs Flip6) is that it now comes with a bigger and better FlexWindow (cover screen). You'll be able to control your phone better without unfolding it. Through FlexWindow, you can activate features like Gemini voice activation, Gemini Live and control camera settings during live shoots. You can even enjoy the Now Bar and Now Brief when the Galaxy Z Flip7 is closed!
- Processing power
On the Galaxy Z Flip7 is the flagship Samsung Exynos 2500 (3nm processor), which is crafted for AI processing, perfect CPU power and great gaming capabilities, as well as efficient battery performance. Flip7 comes in variants of GB RAM and up to ROM.
Battery for Galaxy Z Flip7 has also been bumped up to 4,300mAh. Having conducted vigorous lab tests, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is capable of delivering up to 31 hours of video playback, compared to the 4,000mAh and 25 hours battery in the Flip6. While the 4,300mAh battery here seems small, results are promising with just a 300mAh battery test that adds another 6 hours of battery.
- Design
The Flip7 retains its pocket-sized compact factor while maintaining a strong built and feel. It also has the same Armour Flex Hinge as the Galaxy Z Fold7 which offers enhanced durability that protects not just the hinge overall but also from any dust penetration. Speaking of which, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is IP48 certified, with its screen bezel achieving better waterproofing as well as fortified with ultra-high density armour.
- Screen
Moving on to the screen, a star highlight for this generation.
Galaxy Z Flip7 now has a bigger and a more practical FlexWindow (rear screen). Compared to Flip6 wiith its smaller 3.4-inch, the Galaxy Z Flip7 has a bigger 4.1-inch FlexWindow while maintaining its classic, smaller compact design. Size aside, Samsung says Flip7 has the largest FlexWindow. The screen itself has a very slim bezel at 1.25mm, and better visibility in the sun.
When flipped open, the Flip7 has a good 6.7-inch screen size, which is a Dynamic AMOLED 2x display panel. Thus the Flip7 is also a good size to hold and view.
- Camera
The Galaxy Z Flip7 has a dual camera set up for its rear, which is a main 50MP 2x optical quality zoom lens and 12MP ultra wide lens. Whereas the front camera is a 10MP shooter. Flip7 is also capable of capturing 10-bit HDR video, mastered with NextGen Visual engineering for imaging results.
As mentioned earlier, you can gain access to more controls now when in FlexCam mode. Enjoy zoom capabitlities, a zoom slider, enhanced lighting and even real-time filters when you are shooting with and referring to the FlexWindow.
