Yet these intriguing, aesthetically-pleasing phones often turn heads, with many fans trying to get their hands on a cheaper model. Now this time, Samsung has actually delivered on this demand — Galaxy Z Flip7 FE.
Priced from RM3,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, the South Korean tech giant has unveiled their first-ever "Fan Edition" flip smartphone with all the form factor, without the premium price tag.

Looks Like The Galaxy Z Flip6
Essentially, this phone is meant to appeal to those who wants to try the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip phones without paying a huge amount. The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE maintains the same compact design of its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip6. It looks remarkably similar, right down to the familiar dual-camera array and distinctive cover display.
While it's slightly heavier at 187g and thicker when folded (at 14.9mm) and unfolded (at 6.9mm) compared to the flagship Flip 7, it still offers the convenient pocket-sized form factor that flip phone users love. When unfolded, it reveals a 6.7-inch Main Display, providing an immersive viewing experience. Available in elegant Black and White colours, the Z Flip 7 FE delivers a minimalist look that perfectly complements its intelligent, foldable design.
Features like Now Brief can viewed from the cover screen, feeding you updates like weather, daily schedules, and commute alerts in a layout optimised for its compact form.
Smaller in Storage, Same CPU
To achieve a more accessible price point, Samsung has made strategic adjustments to the internal components. The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE comes with 8GB of RAM and offers storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. This is a slight step down from the Flip7, which has 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
But, Samsung has not compromised on the Flip7 FE's performance. In fact, it actually uses the same Exynos 2500 chipset as the original Flip7. This powerful 3nm processor allows the phone to be more responsive and run smoother.
However, the battery capacity follows that of the Flip6, featuring a 4,000mAh dual battery, which can achieve up to a 50% charge in 30 minutes with 25W wired charging, alongside Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare.
No Changes to Camera
Interestingly, you'll be getting the same dual-setup of 50MP wide-angle + 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a front camera setup of 10MP selfie camera, like the original Flip7.
The 50MP FlexCam feature on the main display gives you high-quality selfies and video even in Flex Mode, letting users capture content hands-free without fully opening the device.
Slightly Different Durability
The Flip7 FE boasts IP48 resistance for protection against water and dust, alongside Samsung Knox and the hardware-backed Knox Vault for sensitive datat protection.
Its construction includes Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for the glass components and an Armour Aluminium frame for a sturdy build.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE will be available in elegant Black and White colours. Pre-orders begin today, 9 July, and run until 31 July. General sales will start from 1 August onwards. The new model will also be exclusively available online.
