If your morning starts with over 100 emails in your inbox and less than half of them are actually relevant to you, you have an onslaught of unwanted subscriptions.
From weekly newsletters you subscribed when you were feeling motivated to shopping alerts you only signed up for to score a deal, it's causing a brain fog trying to keep up with your inbox.
Thank goodness for Google's simple but much-needed new feature: the 'Manage Subscriptions' tab.
A New Tab To 'Manage Subscriptions'
This new tab, found in the navigation bar (the three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner of your Gmail inbox, is being rolled out gradually on the web version starting today, 9 July.
Under this tab, Gmail has organised your active subscriptions by the most frequent senders alongside the number of emails they’ve sent you in the past few weeks. This way, you get a clear view of who’s clogging up your inbox the most.
Next to each sender, you'll find an individual, one-click link that lets you unsubscribe from their mailing list instantly.
While Android users will start seeing it from 14 July, iOS users will get it later from 21 July onwards. It will be available for all personal Google accounts, Google Workspace customers, and Workspace Individual Subscribers in “select countries," according to The Verge.
While this feature won't stop all unwanted emails like spams, but it definitely make it easier to remove clutter in your inbox.
