From Apple Intelligence and Gemini Live, artificial intelligence is rapidly being incorporated into our daily devices.
Now, it's Microsoft's turn with a new line of Surface Copilot+ PCs, powered by Snapdragon processors. Outside of its speed, these Window AI PCs come with all kinds of AI-powered features and tools to help you with your day-to-day tasks.
Core Copilot+ PC Features
With Microsoft Copilot+, you can treat it like a personal assistant to get answers, advice, and help when you want it. To activate it, you can either press Alt + Spacebar to pull up a small Copilot interface or hold down Alt + Spacebar for two seconds to have a voice conversation with it.
The Recall feature helps you place where you last saw a particular detail, document, or webpage. You can search through all your past activity on your PC by simply describing what you remember and what you were doing without needing the exact file names or specific locations.
Microsoft has also introduced live captions with translations for any audio on your PC, regardless of whether it's a live meeting, a lecture, or a video you're watching. Even better, it can translate those captions into English from over 40 different languages in real-time, letting you truly "speak the same language" with friends or colleagues across the world.
With video calls, the Windows Studio Effects can blur your background, automatically center you in the frame, and even adjust your gaze to make it look like you're always looking directly at the camera.
The Photos app on your device now has the help of AI to help you create, edit, and enhance your pictures with minimal effort.
Besides that, Cocreator in Microsoft Paint can generate images based on text prompts you input. You can also draw what you have in mind on the canvas and it'll help you brainstorm and develop visual ideas.

Word: Copilot can help rewrite or summarise existing text, and even adjust the tone of your writing to suit different audiences.

Excel: The AI simplifies data analysis by helping you create formulas, generate summaries, identify trends in your data, and even build visual charts and graphs.

PowerPoint: While you're putting together presentation slides, it can help by drafting slide content, suggesting layouts, and pulling in relevant information directly from your documents.

Outlook: To help you with your pilling emails, the AI can help you prioritise your most important messages, summarise email threads, and write quick replies.
- Teams: After a virtual meeting, Copilot recaps the discussion and creates actionable to-do lists to keep things on track.
