Hyundai has officially entered Malaysia as its own entity. Formerly distributing models under Hyundai Motor Company (HMC), the South Korean HQ, Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) is now the direct Hyundai Malaysian HQ serving the local market.
In celebration, Hyundai Malaysia has launched three freshly imported models—STARIA, the New TUCSON, and the All-New SANTA FE—in Kuala Lumpur.

For the first time in Malaysia, the TUCSON offers a 1.6L Turbo HEV variant (235 PS/367 Nm), alongside 2.0L MPI petrol (156 PS/192 Nm) and 1.6L Turbo petrol (180 PS/264 Nm) options—all front-wheel drive. SmartSense safety standard is also included on the Prime and Prestige.
