Are you a fan of compact smartphones? Do you love smartphone photography too?
There’s another exciting addition to the smartphone market: vivo X200 FE, a compact mobile that offers flagship performance, powerful camera, a sleek and memorable design, and most importantly for Malaysians, an accessible pricing tier.
As part of vivo's acclaimed X-series lineup known for their high-end cameras, the X200 FE (‘Fan Edition’) stands out as an interesting option because one could enjoy a compact and budget-friendly package while indulging in all the premium features that vivo has to offer.
We’ve got to spend some time trying out the vivo X200 FE. Here’s our experience and what you can expect from it.

Pink Vibe is Malaysia’s Iconic vivo Colour
At just 7.9mm thin and weighing 186 grams, the vivo X200 FE measures 155mm in height and 72mm in width, making it lightweight and comfortable for one-handed use while maintaining a premium aesthetic appeal.
The phone comes in four distinctive colourways – Blue Breeze, Black Luxe, Pink Vibe, and Yellow Glow. And guess what, Malaysia has been assigned the Pink Vibe variant as the signature colour, for a cool reason.
vivo had proudly shared that Pink represents the bold, expressive, and confident Malaysian consumers. The X200 FE in Pink essentially captures the spirit of individuality and self-expression that defines the contemporary Malaysian Gen Z and modern millennials.
Colours aside, at the back of the vivo X200 FE is where the camera island sits in a pill-shaped module, giving it a neat, modern appearance similar yet striking compared to its siblings in the X200 series.

Like The X200 Pro, We Love The Camera on The X200 FE
vivo X200 FE bears the signature ZEISS imaging system which is actually refined onto the X200 FE’s 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display as well, branded “ZEISS Master Colour Display”. Therefore, visuals also look just as what ZEISS wants you to.
Of course, the bigger star that ZEISS has tuned is the camera, being fitted with ZEISS’s own advanced computational photography features.
Ensuring images captured on the vivo X200 FE are true to ZEISS’s imaging vision, its triple-camera system utilises on a primary 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor with OIS, a Periscope telephoto 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor capable of 3x optical zoom, and an ultrawide 8MP sensor.
The rear camera set is also complemented with the X200 FE’s front camera featuring a 50MP sensor.
True to vivo fashion, the X200 FE also comes with vivo’s Multifocal Portrait packages which is a systemic feature that allows you to take the best portrait shots.

All Battery All Bite
Another remarkable feature of the X200 FE is its 6,500mAh battery, which is extraordinary for a device of this size. Its large capacity allows you to enjoy the X200 FE all-day even for heavy users. With 90W fast charging via USB-C allowing you to go from 0 to 100% in 57 minutes, that means minimal downtime during a recharge.
Through statistics shared by vivo, the X200 FE’s MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset and battery combo achieves about 9 hours of gaming and 25 hours worth of YouTube video playback.
Some other hardware and software combinations that allows you to enjoy a longer battery is the fact that X200 FE has an efficient LTPO display and optimized processor to deliver impressive power management so that you can run your heavy tasks throughout the day.

So if you want to have an all-day outdoor photography shoot, X200 FE will be able to handle that. Or if you want to be out partying the whole night with your friends and not worry about battery anxiety, vivo X200 FE is your little buddy. At a promo price of RM2,999, it’s one of the more accessible photography-focused camera phones around too.
