HP Malaysia has just rolled out two new powerhouses, the HP ZBook Ultra G1a and the Z2 Mini G1a Workstation, equipped to handle the demanding use of AI by professionals and creatives.

Both the ZBook Ultra G1a and the Z2 Mini G1a are equipped with AMD Ryzen AI Max PRO processors, that speeds up your most demanding creative and AI-driven tasks, boasting up to 50 TOPS (tera operations per second) of AI performance.
"50 TOPS of AI performance" may sound like a jumble of words; it means these computers are incredibly good at handling complex operations that rely on artificial intelligence. You can work more efficiently and these laptops are more than capable of carrying out 3D rendering, generative content creation, and work locally with large language models (LLMs) simultaneously.
Reliability On The Go
The HP ZBook Ultra G1a is HP's most powerful 14-inch mobile workstation. Its ultra-thin and light design is great for professionals who need top-tier performance regardless of where they are working and complemented by a long-lasting battery that keeps you productive away from an outlet. It's also packed with features for enhanced privacy.
Meanwhile, the HP Z2 Mini G1a Workstation is the world's mini workstation. But, all great things come in small packages. This little desktop — which is only about the size of my palm — delivers powerful computing without occupying too much desk space. Complete with an internal power supply, the device can fit cleanly on a crowded desk, discreetly mount behind a monitor, or even be tucked away under a desk.
Both devices also boast a 128GB of unified memory, with a massive 96GB dedicated to graphics. These ZBooks can efficiently handle complex 3D renders in Cinema 4D or Blender, accelerate demanding video edits in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, and run multiple resource-intensive applications, like a heavy rendering task, a local AI model, and a video call, without the frustrating lags.

The launch event, held on 19 June, featured a fireside chat with industry leaders like Shermaine Wong from Cult Creative, Ar. Azlan Syarawi Mokhtar Bajunid from KL Architectural Festival 2025, and HP's Tarun Relhan.
The discussion gave an insight into what the creative and design industry was like before the advent of AI. They discussed how AI-powered tools are transforming creative workflows and boosting productivity. As Alex Tan, Managing Director of HP Malaysia, put it, these new ZBooks "advance our vision for the future of work, where mobility, uncompromised power, and seamless compute are essential for AI-driven and graphics-intensive workflows across industries."
