LG has announced LG Subscribe, a business model that's a refreshment of the older LG Rent-Up model where users can rent-to-own LG products easily (in the form of "instalments"). The refreshed plan is also now available across 10 LG product categories from refrigerators to air conditioners. The launch was graced by ambassador and Paris 2024 Olympian Badminton Men's Single Medallist Lee Zii Jia.
LG Subscribe redefines LG's vision to offer a customer-first approach that recognises the trend of how Malaysians access premium technology without the financial burden that comes from ownership cost.
Alongside the rebranding announcement, LG has also revealed its latest water purifier model - LG PuriCare ATOM-U Water Purifier, available through LG Subscribe from RM100 per month or an upfront price of RM5,200.

New Malaysian home owners can now enjoy a well-furnished house from day one with the LG Subscribe system.
The LG Subscribe model is simplified into fees from as low as RM30 per month. Users can rent-to-own LG products rather than buy them upfront. This flexible plan allows users to enjoy LG products without needing to commit to the high price of ownership right away.
LG Subscribe also includes the likes of hassle-free maintainance and care service just like their older rent-to-own plan. LG's subscription model is also available to 10 product categories within the LG ThinQ smart technolgoy system: PuriCare water purifiers, CordZero vacuums, ArtCool air conditioners and WashTower laundry solutions.
LG PuriCare ATOM-U Water Purifier
LG has also introduced LG PuriCare ATOM-U ("U" stands for Universe). This water purifier is embodied in an aesthetic and sleek "tap" design with a touch-panel on top, and is capable of providing water of various temperatures from hot to cold. Its 180-swivel design enables flexibility of various user scenarios in a busy home.
PuriCare ATOM-U water purifier follows a 4-stage All Puri Filter System which also includes a Pre-Carbon Block+ (9 metal removal) and Ultra FIltration (virus removal) filters. It sterilizes water through stainless-steel pipes to deliver fresh water all-day-long.
The water purifier also comes integrated with a "Purity Lamp" to notify you when to change its filters.
For extended benefits, you can track the likes of water usage and setup via LG ThinQ smart home mobile app.
Available in Silver and Black colours, LG PuriCare ATOM-U is available via LG Subscribe from RM100, or at an upfront price from RM5,200.
Mr Justin Choi, Managing Director of LG Malaysia, shared how customer insights prompted the new direction for LG in regional SEA countries to follow the successful lead of LG South Korea.
