We all love scrolling through TikTok's For You page (FYP) for endless entertainment, but sometimes, a video you're not interested in pops up. It could be one of those conspiracy videos from the creepy corners of TikTok or maybe you're just not keen on seeing a tarot card reader discuss manifestation and numerology.
Well, you can now limit content you don't want to see with TikTok's new AI-powered "Smart Keyword Filters".
Restrict Content & Its Synonyms
While TikTok already lets you filter out specific keywords, there was a tiny catch: these older filters only blocked the exact words you typed in. The new Smart Keyword Filters uses AI to spot and sift out content containing similar words or synonyms.
So, if you're not a fan of felines, adding "Cat" to your filter will now automatically block variations like "cats," "kitten," or even creatively spelled versions such as "c@ts" or "c a t s." The tool will even show you which extra keywords are being filtered, and you'll be able to choose specific ones you want to include or exclude.

Even More Control with "Manage Topics"
Besides keywords, TikTok is also rolling out "Manage Topics", a new feature that lets you fine-tune your feed even more. You can now customise how often content related to over 10 popular topics appears on your FYP, including "Creative Arts", "Dance", "Fashion & Beauty", "Food & Drinks", "Health & Fitness". "Horror" "Funny", "Travel", "Nature", and "Sports".

You'll also have the option to adjust the frequency in which related content comes onto your FYP. While these settings won't completely remove topics, they'll give you more control over your daily TikTok diet, helping you discover more of what you love and less of what you don't as your interests change over time.
TikTok also rolled out a sleep feature to help you get a good night's rest. Read all about it here. Stay updated with ProductNation on here, Instagram & TikTok as well.
