As part of a multi-year agreement, Xiaomi will continue to power its premium smartphones and smart devices with the latest Snapdragon platforms — including becoming one of the first to launch devices with the next-generation Snapdragon 8-series chip later this year.

This move not only cements Qualcomm’s influence across Xiaomi’s product lines but also signals deeper integration of AI, automotive tech, wearables, and smart home systems in Xiaomi’s global strategy — Malaysia included.

Deepening the Qualcomm–Xiaomi Partnership

With over 15 years of collaboration, this new agreement ensures Xiaomi’s future flagship devices will be Snapdragon-powered for multiple generations.

One of the success stories of this collaboration is the latest Xiaomi Mi 15 Series, powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite, deemed a commercial hit. With this new agreement, we will see an increase in volume and scope, covering China and global markets. The collaboration is also an echo to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon's faith in continuing to power platforms in smartphones and expand across devices.

The collaboration spans far beyond smartphones. In the smartphone category, Snapdragon has powered Xiaomi since the Mi 1 in 2011, and we can expect the next-gen Snapdragon 8 in Xiaomi devices later this year.

When it comes to automotive, Xiaomi’s SU7 car runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform and Snapdragon Auto 5G Modem-RF for smart cabin experiences.

Tapping in is also Smart Home devices, where Xiaomi routers and devices leverage on Qualcomm’s Wi-Fi 7 and connectivity platforms. And finally, in Xiaomi wearables, Snapdragon powers Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro and Watch 2 Pro with advanced audio and wearable platforms.

A major focus of the partnership is on-device AI and intelligent edge computing. It has been confirmed that future Xiaomi phones and devices will leverage Snapdragon’s on-device AI capabilities for faster, more private, and more responsive interactions.

Meanwhile, Qualcomm’s roadmap will focus on cloud-edge convergence, ensuring Xiaomi’s devices stay competitive in real-time language translation, content generation, and contextual assistance.

Additionally, the expanded deal hints at AR/VR glasses, tablets, and multi-device ecosystems powered by Snapdragon AI.
