X-TAP Technology: Next-Level Health and Interaction
A highlight to the HUAWEI WATCH 5 is its Multi-sensing X-TAP, which is an interface of a combination of tracking features such as ECG, PPG, and tactile sensors in a fingertip-based module — a first in the wearables industry.
Upon use, the feature enables 10 health metrics in just 60 seconds via the fingertip: heart rate variability (HRV), SpO₂, stress, and more. One could get their SpO₂ results in under 10 seconds, and accuracy is guaranteed thanks to fingertip pulse wave detection.
Moreover, the technology ensures accurate distringuishes between different features, sensing varying levels of touch and pressure styles.
Gesture Controls That Simplify Everyday Use
Easily use the watch as you can now control key smartwatch functions with simple gestures, without touching the screen.
Now, there's the Double Slide and Double Tap gestures to answer calls, skip songs, or trigger the camera. And the gesture works across built-in apps and select third-party voice call platforms. This is especially useful during workouts, wet conditions, or when yours hands are occupied.
Premium Design Inspired by the Kármán Line
HUAWEI WATCH 5 balances luxury aesthetics and durable construction across two sizes: 42mm and 46mm. The 42mm variant is available in Sand Gold & Beige colourways and is made with 904L stainless steel. Whereas, the 46mm variant comes with a special Purple edition made with aerospace-grade silver (which is 45% lighter but nearly 2x stronger).
All models feature sapphire glass for scratch resistance and clarity. Both models also can be paired with several strap options: Titanium, fluoroelastomer, and a composite leather-style strap (odor-free, waterproof).
Battery Life and Connectivity That Keep Up
Built for long-lasting performance and freedom from phones, the WATCH 5 comes with Dual-mode battery that offers up to 4.5 days (46mm) or 3 days (42mm) on Standard Mode. In Battery Saver Mode, on the WATCH 5 series you can achieve up to 11 days (46mm) and 7 days (42mm).
There's also eSIM support to enable independent use through full cellular usage. Truly ideal for athletes and travelers who don't want to have repeated fuss with their smartphones. Best of all, the WATCH 5 series is compatible with Android and iOS devices.
