Ever thought about how there are way too many smartphones to choose from? And, which one is the best bang for your buck even?
Not too long ago, a video went viral for all the wrong dating reasons. Context of the story? The lady was angry about getting a low-value gift when she spotted her date with a new smartphone. The date claimed his phone only cost him RM20.

Upon closer look, we also realised what phone it might be, thanks to the design of its back cover.

With that phone cover, camera and colour, it’s none other than the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G, which costs about RM2,199.

After some research and enquiry, the “RM20 deal” the date meant was likely with Rewards from the Samsung Wallet, which allows users to earn Samsung Rewards Points with every payment made.

One transaction earns you as high as 40 points. With some calculation, you can actually get up to 2,000 points monthly, which also can substitute as credits to buy something from the rewards redemption page.
It’s technically high-value cashback at this point!
How Samsung Wallet Works

Say you want to get the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G promo price which is RM1,999 in the programme. You can cover up to 99% of the price with points, converted into RM1,978.99 (65,966.34 points). Then pay for the remaining 1% of the price and that would cost about RM20.01.
Ta-dah, mystery solved!
Nothing is free in life. But with some patience, slowly but surely we’ll all be able to get a Samsung Galaxy phone for just RM20; quite a feat especially since there’s no installment or telco contract to tie us down. Best of all? No strings attached!
