What's the biggest complaint iPhone users always have? The battery life. And Apple is finally addressing this issue.
Apple will be unveiling iOS 19 this June, and one of its newest updates is an AI-powered battery-saving feature. According to Bloomberg, this new tool will learn from how you use your apps and automatically adjust settings to extend battery life.
AI-Powered Battery Management
This feature is similar to Google's "Adaptive Battery" on Android phones, which also limits background activity for less-used apps. The goal is to optimise power usage, ensuring your iPhone lasts longer on a single charge. This means less reliance on power banks and chargers.
Think of it as a smart energy-saving butler for your iPhone.
Apple is launching the AI battery management for their upcoming ultra-slim iPhone 17, which may have a smaller battery. But fret not, the AI battery tool will also be available for all iPhones that support iOS 19 – not just the iPhone 17.

Charging Time Indicator
Another nifty addition to iOS 19 is a lock screen indicator that shows the estimated time remaining until your iPhone is fully charged. So, no more guessing the charging percentage and no more overcharging!
Of course, some of us might be a bit skeptical – will this AI thing actually work in the real world? We'll be keeping an eye out for reviews and tests once it's out.
