In a milestone for Malaysia’s EV ecosystem, JomCharge and Alliance Bank have launched Malaysia’s first-ever virtual credit card (VCC) specifically designed for EV charging.
Built for convenience, savings, and sustainability, the card offers instant RM100 in credits, 20% cashback on charging, and up to 8x Timeless Bonus Points — all without needing a physical card. This move marks a major step forward for EV adoption in Malaysia, especially for urban drivers looking to save more while going green.
To get, users can apply directly via the JomCharge app for the Alliance Bank Virtual Credit Card. Once approved, users can enjoy the virtual credit card to enjoy benefits such as an RM100 JomCharge credits instantly, 20% rebate on all EV charging sessions at over 3,000 JomCharge stations nationwide and even enjoy Alliance Bank's 8x Timeless Bonus Points for every ringgit spent on charging.
Aside from raking in points and monetary benefits, the Alliance Bank VCC is fully virtual, meaning greener efforts between the bank and users. No physical card is needed at all. Instead, integrated payment and expense tracking are all consolidated within the JomCharge app. The card can also be used immediately after approval.
