As early as this quarter year, you'll be able to see the latest Snapdragon G Series (includes Snapdragon G3 Gen 3, Snapdragon G2 Gen 2, and Snapdragon G1 Gen 2) on OEMs including AYANEO, ONEXSUGAR and Retroid Pocket. Basically, there will be more handheld gaming devices powered by new Snapdragon G Series platforms.

The new releases are tailored to enhance the performance and capabilities of dedicated gaming devices, offering gamers improved experiences across various tiers.

The Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 is the first to support Lumen, Unreal Engine 5's fully dynamic global illumination and reflections system, for Android handheld-dedicated gaming devices.

Compared to the previous generation, Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 is equipped with the Adreno A32 GPU, featuring 30% faster CPU performance and 28% faster advanced graphics capabilities compared to its predecessor, the G3x Gen 2. The G3 Gen 3 also has greater power optimizations and energy efficiencies as well as support ray tracing.

The G3 Gen 3 supports displays up to QHD+ resolution at 144Hz, an upgrade from the previous generation's FHD+ support. With support for Wi-Fi 7, players can reduce latency and increase bandwidth with it.

Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 is for any gaming, including cloud gaming, at 144FPS on dedicated gaming devices, offering a powerful balance of performance and efficiency with 2.3x CPU performance increase and 3.8x faster GPU capabilities over Snapdragon G2 Gen 1.

G2 Gen 2 has support for QHD+ displays at 144Hz and includes the FastConnect 7800 module for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity to enable faster and more reliable wireless connections.

The Snapdragon G1 Gen 2 is built for anyonem who likes cloud gaming on dedicated handheld Android gaming devices. It can deliver 80% faster CPU performance and 25% faster GPU performance compared to its predecessor. G1 Gen 2 also works with up to 1080p at 120 FPS over Wi-Fi and brings supporting FHD+ displays to 120Hz.

Those interested can look forward to products with Snapdragon G Series in the likes of Ayaneo Pocket S2—an Android-powered gaming handheld with a 6.3-inch display at 1440p resolution—and OneXSugar Sugar 1—a gaming console that can switch between a traditional handheld mode and a dual-screen configuration, reminiscent of the Nintendo DS.

The entry of the Snapdragon's new G series is poised to enrich the gaming landscape in Malaysia, especially with the growing interest of retro and simple handheld devices for casual and serious gamers alike to play on-the-go.
