Apple has unveiled the latest iMac, now powered by the M4 chip, boasting improved performance, AI features, and a refreshed design in seven bold colours. The brand new 24-inch all-in-one desktop introduces a nano-texture display option, a 12MP Centre Stage camera, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity. Starting at RM5,799, the new iMac continues Apple’s streak of delivering sleek, powerful devices for both work and play.
The iMac’s upgrade to the M4 chip results in significant performance gains. In short, it's:
- 1.7x faster for everyday tasks like multitasking and browsing,
- 2.1x boost in demanding activities like photo editing and gaming, and
- Up to 4.5x faster than Intel-based all-in-ones and 6x faster than older Intel-based iMacs.
This power boost is paired with 16GB of unified memory, expandable up to 32GB, ensuring seamless multitasking. The Neural Engine further enhances AI capabilities, making it an excellent choice for productivity, creative work, and immersive gaming.
Running on macOS Sequoia, the new iMac delivers enhanced productivity features like iPhone Mirroring, advanced Safari updates, and improved gaming modes. Apple’s new Apple Intelligence integrates seamlessly, making interactions more intuitive with on-device AI and Private Cloud Compute for handling complex tasks securely.
Besides that, for the first time ever, the iMac’s 4.5K Retina display can be equipped with a nano-texture glass option that reduces glare, making it ideal for bright environments.
The 12MP Centre Stage camera keeps users centred during video calls and now includes Desk View for a top-down look at your workspace, making it handy for presentations and creative projects. Paired with a studio-quality microphone array and a six-speaker sound system, the iMac delivers an immersive audio-visual experience.
With green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver options, the new iMac is available in more vibrant colours than ever. They also come with a colour-matched Magic Keyboard, Mouse, or Trackpad, all of which now have USB-C ports.
Speaking of ports, the new iMac is equipped with four Thunderbolt 4 ports. That means that it supports faster data transfers and up to two 6K displays. It also features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, alongside Touch ID for secure and fast login.

The new iMac starts at at RM5,799 and is available in two models, the 8-core and the 10-core. Both variants come equipped with 256GB SSD, along with other configurations.
