Connectivity finally meets Beauty with Dyson’s first "smart" connected device – the Airwrap i.d.™ multi-styler and dryer!
The product stemmed from the idea of making styling easier and optimised for users of the award-winning Dyson Airwrap styler. Now with the Airwrap i.d.™, users can also personalise their hair profile. With just a push of a button, this Airwrap variant will wrap, style, and set their curls automatically according to the user's hair situation.
Improved versatility also comes with the Dyson Airwrap i.d.™ multi-styler and dryer, now with three new attachments to bring its full range of attachments to 19. It has the Conical barrel to offer tighter and more defined curls at the root, the Wave+Curl diffuser to disperse airflow in two different ways to enhance waves, curls and coils, as well as the Blade concentrator to provide more precise airflow for smoother and aligned hair.
Program perfect curls with i.d. curl™
Dyson engineers have developed i.d. curl™ as a personalised curling sequence, to be used with the machine’s barrels. This means users can set their hair profile on the MyDyson app to include hair type, hair length and skill level. The app will then recommend a perfect curling routine.
Through one push of the power button, i.d. curl™ will activate three steps for perfect, consistent curls. It will wrap, style, and set to make curling foolproof. Heat and airflow will be intuitively controlled based on the user’s styling preferences.
Create more styles with new attachments
Three new attachments add to the versatility of the machine to cater for all hair types.
Conical barrel
- This attachment adds more defined curl, due to the barrel shape and geometry which is designed for styling close to the root of the hair.
- It also has multi-directional operation which utilises a singular barrel that creates clockwise and anticlockwise curls.
- Moreover, users can enjoy the Coanda airflow technology which attracts and self wraps hair for easy styling, especially for beginners.
Wave+Curl diffuser
- Shape your natural curl pattern with the diffuser which is imbued with the Coanda airflow tech as well, whereby air is projected from the apertures and clings to the inner surface of the dome, towards the base.
- As airflow converges in the base of the dome to create a gentle swirl, it helps to enhance and define the natural wave pattern with rounder ends.
Blade concentrator
- Achieve smoother curls with the Blade concentrator which also harnesses Coanda airflow to accelerate air over two curved surfaces.
- Here, two jets of air converge to make one even sheet of air in order to deliver a smoother and more aligned finish.
19 Attachments For Infinity Hair Looks
Each set comes with six attachments in a Dyson-designed presentation case. However, owners can also explore the full range of standalone attachments to complement their set.
The multi-styler currently supports up to 19 attachments for improved versatility, with a variety of barrels, smoothing brushes and dryers to suit different hair needs and wants. Note that attachments for the Dyson Airwrap i.d. vary by market.
Safe From Heat With Dyson Airwrap i.d.™ Multi-Styler and Dryer
The Dyson Airwrap i.d.™ multi-styler and dryer does not rely on heat alone to change the bonds within the hair structure, resetting them into a new style. By using strong, optimised air to achieve volume in the curl, it ultimately avoids heat damage.
The tool also features Intelligent Heat Control to measure and regulate heat. By keeping the temperature below 150°C, it helps protect hair from heat damage and maintains shine across all hair types.
Created by an in-house team of experts, the Dyson digital motor V9 powers the Dyson Airwrap i.d.TM multi-styler and dryer. Partnered with Dyson’s unique styling attachments, this motor enables the Dyson Airwrap i.d.TM multi-styler to style with air, without the need for extreme heat.
