About Canon MF469X Printer

Keeping up to date with office trends and smart technology, Canon has made the MF469X Printer to do two simple things at best: print and scan documents fast, either wired or wirelessly.

This printer can print up to 40 papers per minute (black & white) as well as prints up to 100 black and white images per minute. The number of papers it can hold is 900 sheets with its expandable paper tray, and with a recommend print count of 750 - 4,000 pages per month.

In terms of user interface experience, the printer has a 5-inch colour LCD touchscreen for ease of navigation. It also has an Auto-Duplex function to print both sides of paper easily without needing to flip the papers manually, which can be done with up to 50 papers at once.

For enhanced security, the printer also has a TLS 1.3. Monitor system integrity which shows at startup and runtime with its Verify System at Startup function. Not forgetting, it has an in-built Application Library to let you quickly access frequently-used formats from your own device, or automatically send to pre-set destinations.

Set Up

The Canon MF469X Printer came secured in a box with its manual. After carrying it out, getting it to work is not a problem either. Since it powers on with just one power cable, one just need to plug the single cable in and they can start using it. There's also provided cables to connect to your computer for wired printing.

Do take note that when it came to printing and connecting wirelessly, we had to be able to access locked settings to connect to the printer wirelessly with the printer's System Manager ID and PIN numbers — neither were printed on the manual book. Luckily, a quick Google search enabled us to look up the default numbers. This is a small annoyance that should've been designed to be done in easier steps.

Design

With a squarish look, the printer is neither big or small, and feels solid when the paper feed or toner catridge drawers/compartments are pulled out.

Due to how the printer is built, where its features are better accesible from the top, we also recommend having the pinter on a lower-than-average height of a table or console table so that almost anyone of any height would be able to access the scanner, fax and printer easily.

In our opinion, the best position to have it is somwhere not too tall or small. Its dimension is roughly 420 (W) x 460 (D) x 375 (H) mm, so it requires a proper sturdy table to house. Thankfully, a typical standard work desk would do alright to support the printer, and it's where we had our review unit on.
