iOS 18 is now officially available for public beta! Apple announced the new software update at WWDC24, with long-anticipated features such as fully customizable home screens, a brand-new control centre design, Apple Intelligence, and more. Now, you can finally download the beta version and try it all for yourself!
How To Download iOS 18 Beta
iOS 18 is compatible with iPhone SE (2nd gen or later) and later models. To get the iOS 18 Beta update, make sure your phone is fully backed up to iCloud before enrolling in the Apple Beta Software Program. Once you're signed in to your Apple ID on the website, launch your settings app and download the software update.
The update will take about 30 minutes to perform, so do make sure that you have a stable WiFi connection and another device to keep you entertained.
The iOS 18 Beta is pretty glitchy and laggy at the moment, which is expected since, well, it is a beta program after all. Once downloaded, you'll be able to experience most, if not all, customizability and the newest software innovations that Apple has to offer, including major enhancements from customizable home screens, revamped designs in the Control Center and Photos app, and the plethora of features offered by Apple's own version of AI dubbed Apple Intelligence.
The final version of iOS 18 is expected to launch later in September this year, along with the next iPhone 16 series.
