It's officially announced that Sony is going to release a PC adapter for PlayStation VR2. This particular adapter is useable for games like Half-Life: Alyx, Fallout 4 VR, War Thunder, and other virtual reality (VR) games available on Steam on your personal computer (PC).
As of now, it is set to launch in Malaysia this August 2024, retailing for RM279.
The minimum specification of the system is 8GB of RAM as well as an Intel Core i5 7600 processor or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor, which is seemingly at least Zen 2 architecture. Sony also suggests NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT GPUs at a minimum based on information from them.
However, Sony indicates that it will still useable with the likes of NVIDIA GTX 1650 or AMD RX 5500XT. Sony further reports that Bluetooth 4.0 or newer will also be supported.

Moreover, to use the adapter, users must have a DisplayPort cable (sold separately) that is compatible with DisplayPort 1.4, as well as a Steam account and a PC with minimum requirements met.
According to Sony, some features of PS VR2, such as headsets with feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and adaptive triggers with haptic feedback, are not supported on personal computers with the adapter.
To add, there will also be no HDR support, but you will get 4K visuals, 110-degree field vision, and finger-touch detection. Other features mentioned are the support for transparent view in goggles, foveated rendering, and 3D audio in selected games.

PS VR2 will go for RM279 in Malaysia and is set to be available on August 7, 2024. The sales will be done through Sony’s online store and other authorised retailers.
