With Jameson REWIND, Malaysians are invited to rewind to the yesteryears, when bonding happened face-to-face over belly laughs and pure unadulterated joy, without the cold, distracting glow of the screen. It'll be a nostalgia-fuelled extravaganza complete with pop culture throwbacks, earworm classics and the chance to make new friends and some seriously epic memories – the #throwback party of the year that cannot be missed.
Mark your calendars for 22 June 2024, because Jameson is about to unleash the ultimate blast from the past with the Jameson REWIND House Party at The GoDown with specially curated rooms that offer different activities and entertainment:
- Start off at ‘The Yard’ on the ground floor with some delicious party bites, including your favourite childhood snacks and a Jameson Black Barrel-infused Ais Kacang Ball.
- Head upstairs to ‘The Gamer Den’ to shoot some hoops and challenge your friends at some retro arcade game.
- Get a little Y2K glam-up with hair styling and temporary tattoo stations, then snap a pic at the polaroid photobooth as a memento.
- You can also have a sneak peek into your future with a tarot card reading.
Hop up another floor to ‘The Attic’, aka The Black Barrel Room, to groove along to some classic Hip Hop and R&B tunes with a cool all-DJ lineup featuring DJ Misty, MJ and DJ Reeve.
Here, you can also enjoy Jameson Black Barrel cocktails, get your hair braided, and thrift some cool fits with at the Thrift Shop set up by Hundred Percent and 4 KICKS.
For the main event, be sure to head to the ‘Living Room Live’ to enjoy a stellar setlist of favourites from the 90s and 2000s performed by some of the best local talents in the music industry – so start warming up those vocal cords because you’re sure to be singing alongthroughout this unforgettable trip down memory lane.
The epic lineup features EMO NIGHT KL, CLAUDIA, TY:DEL, The Peachskins, Saint Kylo, LOST SPACES, The Filters and Merakki.
If drinks are your thing, go soak in the nostalgic vibes all while sipping on special cocktails inspired by ‘flavours from the past’ created by Angel Ng from Triptyk Bar.
Does it get any better than that? Yes, it does! Ten lucky winners are in for the ride of a lifetime with exclusive VIP access at the Jameson REWIND Party.

In anticipation of the event, Jameson REWIND is hosting 21 lead-up events and exclusive retail promotions from now till June 2024 across participating venues in Klang Valley, Penang, Ipoh, Johor Bahru and East Malaysia.
The lead-up events will bring attendees back in time, from live bands performing familiar favourites, to retro video games and nostalgia-inducing DJ sets. Attendees can also participate in exciting games with prizes such as bottles of Jameson as well as exclusive merchandise up for grabs.

Hold Up; Check Your Eligibility For The Jameson REWIND Cocktail Challenge!
Calling all bartending mavericks, cocktail connoisseurs and home mixology mavens – this is your sign to get those creative juices flowing and those cocktail shakers mixing. Participate and enjoy the prize: An epic all-expenses-paid, three-day all-inclusive trip to Jameson home base in Middleton Distillery in Ireland. Not one, but TWO winners will be selected for this incredible journey and will get to participate in the legendary Jameson HOSTS Summit.
To get in on the action, follow these 3 easy steps:
- Submit a captivating 60 – 90 seconds video via www.jameson-connects.com sharing a story that ties your cocktail creation back to the Jameson REWIND theme.
- Post your video on Instagram and tag @jamesonmalaysia, along with the hashtags: #JamesonRewindCocktailChallenge and #JamesonMY.

The contest is now accepting submissions. Deadline for submission is 13 June 2024.
Video submissions will be evaluated for three things:
- Drink Concept and Presentation: Put your creativity to the test and share your story and inspiration behind your concoction.
- Brand integration: Jameson is important to us, so it should be important to you! Show off your chops and let us know how much you know about Jameson and why it’s the perfect whiskey for your glass of nostalgia.
- Video Creativity: Your creativity shouldn’t just stop with the recipe – let your personality shine and show us your own personal style and brand.
Five finalists will be shortlisted to compete for the final challenge at the Jameson REWIND Party happening at The Godown KL.
The stellar panel of judges is made up of:
- Angel Ng, award-winning bartender and one of the female pioneers of the Malaysian cocktail scene having paved the way for the Chinatown cocktail bar scene as the co-founder of PS150. She’s now crafting wonders at Triptyk, one of the first few bars advocating low ABV cocktails.
- Jon Lee, the legend behind Penrose KL, a bar that crept up the Asia’s 50 Best Bars ranks within its first year of opening. Having started his career in a kitchen, he has hustled his way across the region and back to Malaysia to win the tastebuds (and hearts) of local cocktail-lovers.
- Thanesh Kumar, Jameson’s very own Global Champion of the Jameson Black Barrel Bartenders competition in 2023. When he’s not out smashing competition after competition, he’s slinging drinks and turning on the charm behind Penang’s hottest bar, Backdoor Bodega.
