Embracing the spirit of Raya, The Exchange TRX unveils the 'Magnificence of Raya,' a vibrant homage to Malay culture, tradition, and artistry!
From now until 21 April 2024, guests are invited to indulge in a captivating visual and experiential spectacle, showcasing the beauty of batik and the richness of Malay heritage.
Mitch Wilson, Project Director of The Exchange TRX and Head of Retail at Lendlease Malaysia, expresses the significance of celebrating Malay culture within the heart of Malaysia's International Financial Centre.
He said, “As the social heart of the country’s International Financial Centre, the ‘Magnificence of Raya’ celebrates the splendour of traditional Malay culture and highlights its role in shaping the architecture, design, and art of contemporary Malaysia. Our goal is to create opportunities for mutual cultural understanding and appreciation between local communities at The Exchange TRX.”
Throughout The Exchange TRX, guests will encounter festive displays inspired by Malay traditions. From decorative entrances to the grandeur of Central Exchange, the ambience reflects the essence of Raya. A highlight of the celebration is a grand kampung house, paying homage to traditional Malay architecture and motifs, adorned with intricate batik designs inspired by Malaysia's natural beauty, including the revered Bunga Raya.
Central Exchange will also serve as the hub of cultural experiences, featuring captivating performances such as traditional silat, wayang kulit, and musical acts, providing guests with an immersive journey into Malay heritage. Additionally, guests can participate in a photo contest by capturing their favourite Raya décor for a chance to win exciting prizes.
Amidst the festivities, The Exchange TRX offers a plethora of gastronomic delights from local brands, ensuring a memorable buka puasa experience from restaurants such as Meriah by Serai Group and G’rai. Guests can also look forward to local brands such as Ariani, Bonia, Calaqisya, Carlo Rino, Habib, Minimalist Lab, Wanderlust + Co and plenty more doling out their own festive promotions and offers.
Moreover, in a gesture of community spirit, The Exchange TRX invites Rumah Bakti Syaheera for a day of fun-filled activities, including batik painting sessions, movie screenings, and a buka puasa dinner.
