Starting at 12:01 AM on September 22nd, pre-orders for the iPhone 15 series have kicked off in Malaysia. But amidst the craze, it’s been revealed to the public that there might be potential delivery delays extending into October.

If you just visited the Apple Malaysia website and planned to buy its latest offerings– iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, or iPhone 15 Pro Max, you might have encountered the notification on the delivery date. Based on the website, it is stated that the shipping period might extend up to 2 weeks, which is around early October.

This however only applies to the non-pro variants. As for pro-variants, the wait can potentially stretch to nearly 3 weeks, and people can expect to get their hands on the smartphones by mid-October. Additionally, similar delivery expectations may apply to Apple's premium reseller stores such as Machine and Switch and postpaid package plans offered by CelcomDigi, Maxis, and other telco service providers.

This delay happens perhaps due to the spike of demand which can be observed in several other countries. In China, all iPhone 15 Pro Max models are already facing shipment delays of six to seven weeks. Meanwhile, in the UK, certain versions of the device are experiencing seven to eight-week delays.

It's possible that these delays may extend further as more pre-orders pour in and hopefully, Apple will be able to expedite production and distribution to meet the overwhelming demand for the iPhone 15 Pro Max models in the said regions.

That being said, while waiting for more updates, you can still place your order now on the authorised websites or look at the postpaid package plans from CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile, and Yes 5G as the number of stocks has been reportedly dwindling fast.
