Apple’s Vision Pro is the latest in virtual and augmented reality (mixed reality) technology and based on what they’ve revealed on their website, it’s a huge game changer in productivity and entertainment. Just to tease a bit, the Vision Pro is capable of showing your digital content in the visual world via mixed reality.
Here’s where the device gets even more interesting, there’s a rumour circulating the web that the latest and upcoming iPhone 15 just might be integrable with the Apple Vision Pro. According to a Tweet from Ming-Chi Kuo says the iPhone 15’s hardware will be updated to suit the Vision Pro’s ecosystem.
According to the tweet, the iPhone 15 series hardware might be “aggressively upgraded” to suit the Vision Pro Ecosystem, and the upcoming phone will be upgraded with better WiFi and UWB. More importantly, the upgrade in the production process from 16mn to 7mn should improve performance and reduce power consumption for nearby interactions.
The tweet also stated that part of the success of Apple’s Vision Pro is because of the ecosystem built with other Apple products. Additionally, there was a mention for the follow-up, the iPhone 16 series which is said to likely get WiFi 7. Reportedly, it will be more conducive to Apple’s integration of hardware products for the same local network and create a better ecosystem experience for the users.
iPhone 15 series also came with a few other rumours, some of the more noticeable ones were that they might be having the 48 MP cameras like the iPhone 14 Pro lineup. But another rumour that is worth noticing is that the iPhone 15 series may also come with USB-C cables, meaning you will not only get faster charging but also won’t need to carry too many cables since most devices today use USB-C charging cables.
These rumours have yet to be confirmed nor denied by Apple, but honestly, this integration sounds like an interesting idea. If you’d like to know where to get the Apple Vision Pro, their website states that it will be released in the US in 2024, with a starting price of USD 3,499 (or around RM 16,000). But, there’s no confirmation as to when it’s coming to Malaysia.
