You Can Now Use Multiple Devices to Access The Same WhatsApp Account Simultaneously

One account to rule them all.

Over the years, WhatsApp has become a household name with billions of users across the world. Now, Meta has made it possible for users to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices a post by Meta founder, Mark Zuckerberg.

According to the post, you can now connect to the same Whatsapp account on up to four devices at the same time. Despite the large number of connected devices, each device will connect to Whatsapp independently, so all your texts, calls, and media will still be encrypted. Plus, if your primary device is offline for a long period, WhatsApp will log you out of any companion device as part of its security features.

With this new ability, switching between phones is now easier, as you won't have to sign out on one in order to log in on the other. This would largely benefit small business owners whose primary mode of connection to their customers is through Whatsapp, as more than one point of touch can be achieved now.

This new feature is available to all Whatsapp users and it will be available worldwide in the coming weeks. WhatsApp has also mentioned they will replace a QR code scanner with a one-time code instead to make signing in easier.
