The realme GT3 sets a new fast charging standard for mass-produced smartphones, at 240W, which is also the maximum charging power possible under USB-C standards. As the answer to battery anxiety, the realme GT3 takes only a little over a minute to get to 20% capacity and less than 10 minutes to fully charge the battery.
This is achieved by realme's full-fledged innovation in battery technology. First, it enables three maxed-out charging chipsets to charge at the same time, resulting in improved transfer efficiency.
To add to that, the phone comes with a custom 12A cable and provides dual GaN charging technology, meaning there's a chip to facilitate fast charging in both the phone and the adapter. This also means that the adapter, despite having 60% more power, is smaller than the previous 150W adaptors.
Where most high-power charging devices suffer from overheating, the realme GT3 resolves this issue with the 6580mm2-large VC liquid cooling system that covers 61.5% of the battery to ensure efficient heat dissipation. Besides that, the phone also features a PS3 fireproof design including 13 temperature sensors and 60 layers of safety protection to ensure maximum charging safety, all certified by TUV Rheinland as the world's first certified safe-charging system.
Thanks to all of these measures, the realme GT3 can achieve an 80% lifespan after over 1600 charging cycles with 240W, more than double the industry standard. The intelligent charging can detect the user's status and switches between travel mode, sleep mode, or in-car mode to preserve battery health and avoid overcharging.
In addition to the 240W charging speed, the GT3 is also well-designed, incorporating a translucent window right beside the camera module. There, you can find a polished chipset deco, an NFC chipset, and an advanced Pulse Interface System with a C-shaped RGB lighting ring inside that is highly personalizable.
Available in Pulse Blue and Booster Black, the realme GT3 will be available at a global recommended retail price of $649, which is about RM2,900. As of the time of writing, there is no official Malaysian release or pricing yet.
