Smartphones are a big part of our lives, but not tablets. They are in that weird in-between state where it's too small to actually use it as a work laptop and too big to bring around; at least that's what we thought at first. When we got the new iPad Air that just came out this year, though everything changed.
Check out what we loved about the iPad Air in this article!

8 Features We Loved on the iPad Air
1. Widget stacking
Widgets are useful stuff, but it gets unsightly when your Home page gets cluttered. Thankfully, the iPad Air has solutions.
Just like the iPhone, if the widgets are taking up too much space on the home screen, just create a stack of widgets that can house multiple widgets in it. Just swipe and scroll through the stack for the one you want!
2. Multitasking
With a larger screen, you'll definitely want to make the most of it. One way to do that is to work on two apps at once, with the very handy Multitasking feature!
Within any app, click the multitasking button and open up the supported apps to trigger the split screens. Watch videos and edit photos at the same time!
3. Quick Notes Linking
When on a website, swipe up from the bottom right to open the Quick Note feature. This feature will take a snapshot of your website, so you’ll be able to access the website easily right from the saved Note in the Notes app!
4. Focus Modes
If there’s one thing I’m pro in, it’s crastination.
If you lack self-discipline, you’ll appreciate this: the Focus modes allow you to hide your Entertainment apps from view temporarily. When turned on, you simply won’t be able to see your games, social media apps, or streaming apps like Youtube, so you don’t get distracted when you actually have work to do.
5. Handoff
In Handoff mode, open up Multitasking in any Apple device, and the iPad Air will be able to pick up whatever you’re browsing on Safari or other supported browsers. Switching from a small screen to a big screen has never been easier!
6. Live Text
Still scanning documents with a scanner? The iPad Air now supports LIve Text, which means you can just simply snap a picture of your document, and use Live Text to copy the text to wherever you need it!
It doesn’t just work on documents either — anything with text works, from food packaging to murals. It even maintains the same grammar and syntax!
7. Apple Pencil Support
This shouldn’t come as a surprise, but the Apple Pencil is one of the best accessories you can get with your iPad. With the Apple Pencil, editing pictures so much more easier, and it feels amazing!
8. Gaming (Apple Arcade)
When all is said and done and you’re ready to wind down, the iPad can still be there for you too. Not only does it have Apple Arcade, but you can also connect your controller to the tablet and play any game you want inside or outside of Arcade.
From work to play, the iPad Air has really been amazing. Colour us impressed — and we’ll definitely be using it long-term.
