Samsung Z Flip4 FlexCam Feature Explained

During the release of the fourth-generation foldable smartphones earlier this August, Samsung highlighted the unique FlexCam feature on the Galaxy Z Flip4, which is essentially every camera capability that leverages the Flex Mode. Samsung has also partnered with Meta to ensure that foldable phone is better integrated with apps like Instagram, Facebook, and Whatsapp.

So, what exactly can FlexCam do? Check out how your Galaxy Z Flip4 helps you out in these three sticky scenarios.

Hold Up, What Exactly is FlexCam?

Simply put, it’s the ability to take photos and videos hands-free on the Galaxy Z Flip4.

When half-opened, the Galaxy Z Flip4 can be its own tripod and camera all in one. You can prop up the camera on different surfaces and capture selfies and group photos without having to exclude a friend or hand your phone off to strangers. You’ll also be able to experiment with bolder angles and different points of view. Just by manipulating your phone into an L shape.

Apart from that, Samsung has also partnered with Meta to give Galaxy Z Flip4 users a better camera integration to social media applications like Whatapp, Instagram, and Facebook.

Scenario #1: Vlogging

Everyone has that inherent desire to share their experiences with the world, and that’s why vlogging is all the rage nowadays. There’s a misconception that you need an expensive camcorder with tons of fiddly controls to make a good vlog and lug an unwieldy tripod around, but we have good news for you. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 can do all of that on its own!

For example, in FlexCam mode, you can hold your phone like a camcorder as you film, and the lower half of the phone will turn into a trackpad for scrubbing through the video. All the controls you need are within reach of your thumb, just like a camcorder!
