FAQ
- 60Hz vs 144Hz monitor?
Given that your system (both CPU and GPU) can power the frame rates, gaming at a high refresh rate makes a big difference. A higher refresh rate means that the display refreshes the onscreen image more often – so a 144Hz display would be updating the image you see 144 times every second.
The higher the refresh rate, the smoother the video – with several caveats, such as the video’s resolution, your PC’s processing power (frame rate), colour displays, etc. – but at the bottom of it all, a higher refresh rate helps with a smoother experience and potentially higher FPS in your gameplay.
A monitor with 144Hz will be less likely to stutter or experience screen tearing when compared to a 60Hz monitor due to lowered latency. Competitive gamers will also appreciate the lack of input lag and ghosting with a higher refresher rate.
