Xiaomi and Leica Camera to Launch Jointly Developed Smartphone This July

July can’t come quick enough!

Xiaomi has recently announced its official strategic cooperation with Leica Camera for its next smartphone launch in July. While fans of the brand have speculated that this new flagship camera phone will be the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, nothing official is yet known about this apart from the partnership.

With this collaboration, both companies are keen to continue exploring more technological breakthroughs in mobile photography in order to improve optical performance and photographic experience.

Since its beginnings, Xiaomi has become an important leader in technological innovation in the fields of consumer electronics and smart manufacturing, with products sold in more than 100 countries and regions around the world. With its deep understanding of mobile photography, Xiaomi devices have always provided extraordinary photography experiences including portraits, night scenes, and snapshots.

Leica Camera has been creating lightweight cameras and exceptional optical lenses for more than a century. Mobile photography enthusiasts might know that the German camera company has collaborated with Huawei previously on many of their flagship products, including the new HUAWEI P50. With the recent announcement of the partnership between Xiaomi and Leica, we can look forward to seeing how Xiaomi stands up to the competition.

Leica and Xiaomi, both global premium brands, are convinced that the first jointly developed imaging flagship smartphone will provide consumers with exceptional image quality, classic Leica aesthetics, and unrestricted creativity while opening up the industry to a new era of mobile imaging.
